Why We Started Camomila Botanicals
Camomila Botanicals was founded on a straightforward observation – one that anyone who has browsed Indian wellness shelves or scrolled through online marketplaces will recognise immediately.
India has one of the most extraordinary botanical traditions in the world. Tulsi, shatavari, moringa, lemongrass, ginger, cardamom, ashwagandha – these are not exotic imports. They are part of Indian kitchens, Indian medicine, and Indian daily life for thousands of years. Yet most botanical beverages available to Indian consumers in 2025 fell into one of two categories:
- Imported products that ignored Indian botanical heritage entirely, packaging Western herbal traditions for an Indian market
- Mass-produced Indian products that listed these herbs on the label at trace quantities – present for marketing, not for function
We started Camomila Botanicals to occupy the space between those two categories: an Indian brand that takes Indian botanical heritage seriously – using herbs at meaningful ratios, for specific honest purposes, with every ingredient named and every percentage disclosed on the label.
That is not a revolutionary idea. But it is surprisingly rare.
Camomila Botanicals (OPC) Private Limited was incorporated in India and is FSSAI licensed, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and GMP compliant. Every product is manufactured in India under these certified conditions. We are not a dropshipping or private-label operation – our formulations are developed in-house and our manufacturing partners are held to defined quality standards.
